Go Mambo! New England Week 3
Wednesday, September 24th, 2008
The Northeast Mambo Team had our busiest week yet!!! We worked our way through the greater Boston area hitting many Whole Foods. Go Mambo! has gotten very well known, and people loved seeing us and were eager to try our samples and goody bags. We have run out of goody bags at every demo this week. We were even on the front page of the Medford Tribune! And we also got a radio blitz on 103FM oldies radio for the Woburn demo!
Between our busy schedule of Whole foods demos, we managed to guerilla blitz the busiest intersection of Harvard Square. That was fun! People heard about us, and they kept coming until we were out of bags.
Saturday night was a big night too! We went down to Farm Aid in Mansfield MA. Huge amounts of people were there for the benefit concert founded by Willie Nelson to help the farmers across the country. Thank you Whole Foods for your contributions! We passed out goody bags to concert goers, VIPS, production crew, and ravenous security guards.
We still managed to do some LOHAS stops along the way, and made some key stops. We finished out this week with more store demos. The Go Mambo! tour is preparing for Week 4-our Yankee trek, in beautiful New Hampshire and Maine. This will be Go Mambo’s first visit to the Great Northeastern Kingdom, and we’re looking forward to meeting new friends at the Fryeburg Fair, as well as in the Mount Washington Valley. Look for the Go Mambo! van! See you there!
After completing our first week as the Mambo Team 2008, we fell right back into the groove when we picked up at our first store demo in Boston, the Whole Foods in Cambridge. Each demo was a perfect set-up and take-down, and we greeted all curious customers who came our way. There were a lot of customers that were very familiar with the Mambo tour from years past, and our fans were excited to see us again. The demos through the first three days all went perfectly and we left a lot of Whole Foods managers looking forward to our tour next year.
We kicked off the Northeastern leg of the Go Mambo! tour at the Connecticut Women’s Expo. Many recognized our colors from years past and were happy to see us back. We also made many new friends who were eager to learn about the Mambo Tour, and all the different, healthy new products we were bringing to Hartford. We were quickly the most popular team to represent at the Women’s Expo. We also had the opportunity to meet and speak with many of our LOHAS contacts, and quickly learned that so many new people were searching for opportunities to improve the quality and well being of the lives they led- they were glad to see the Mambo van zooming around town to spread the word.
