Cranberry Pecan Asiago Pizza
Recipe submitted by Mary L. for the Mambolicious Recipe Contest 2009.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 5 oz. Asiago cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup chopped Equal Exchange Roasted Salted Pecans
- 1/2 cup Equal Exchange Organic Dried Sweetened Cranberries
- 2 Tbsp. fresh basil, chopped
- One refrigerated 12-inch thin pizza crust
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prick pizza dough with fork.
- Put oil in a small skillet. Saute garlic until tender. Season with white pepper.
- Place garlic in middle of pizza dough and use spatula to spread to edges.
- Add 4 ounces shredded Asiago cheese. Bake for 7 minutes.
- Add chopped walnuts, cranberries and basil and top with remaining ounce of cheese. Bake for 3 minutes longer.
Servings: 8
