The Ultimate Chewy Ginger Snaps

Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup dark molasses
- 1 large egg
- 3 1/2 oz (1/2 can) Ginger People® Ginger Chips
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Sift dry ingredients together in bowl. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix butter and sugar until light and creamy. Stir in molasses and egg.
- Add dry ingredients to wet mixture. Mix well.
- Stir in crystallized ginger chips.
- For best results, chill dough one hour.
- Form 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar.
- Place on a parchment paper-lined cooke sheet, 2 inches apart.
- Bake 8-10 minutes.
- Remove while still soft. Let cookies cool on sheet before removing.
Servings: 3 dozen cookies.
