Spicy Teriyaki Turkey Burgers with Cilantro Lime Sauce

Ingredients:
Burgers:
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1 tsp. or 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup The Ginger People’s Spicy Ginger Teriyaki Sauce
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 Tbsp. canola oil
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 tsp. butter, room temp.
Sauce:
- 1/4 cup reduced fat mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. The Ginger People’s Spicy Ginger Teriyaki Sauce
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped cilantro
Directions:
- In a large bowl, combine turkey, garlic, egg, teriyaki sauce, lime juice, sugar, and green onions.
- Use hands to mix, just until evenly incorporated. Form into 4 equal patties, about 3/4-inch thick.
- Heat canola oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Add burgers, cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until cooked through.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk mayonnaise, teriyaki sauce, lime juice, and cilantro; set aside.
- Lightly butter each half of buns and broil 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Place burgers on bottom halves of buns. Spoon 1-1/2 tablespoons of sauce on each burger; garnish with a slice of tomato and lettuce.
