Veggie Turkey Burgers
Submitted by Teresa B. of Goose Creek, SC, for the Mambolicious Recipe Contest 2009.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. lean ground turkey or meat substitute
- 2 egg whites
- 1 cup homemade bread crumbs
- 2 cups fresh broccoli, finely chopped
- 1 red pepper, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1/4 cup fresh mushroom, finely chopped
- 2 tsp. Janes Krazy Mixed Up Salt
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients in large bowl.
- Form mixture into patties.
- Bake at 350° F on a large stone or cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes, until done.
- Serve on whole wheat buns with lettuce and tomato.
