Garlic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb. Brussels Sprouts, cut in half
- Minced or crushed garlic, to taste
- Olive oil or melted butter, to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:
- Place oven rack in upper third of oven and preheat to 450° F.
- Toss Brussels sprouts lightly with olive oil or melted butter, garlic, salt, and pepper, or red pepper flakes.
- Spread 1 to 2 layers on a large baking pan. Roast, stirring occasionally, until tender and browned (approximately 25 to 35 minutes).
